How to play
- Fill the chart with knits (a V) and purls (a bar). Every row and every column holds as many knits as purls.
- Never three of the same stitch in a row, across or down.
- No two rows are the same, and no two columns.
- Pick Knit or Purl under the chart, then tap a cell to work that stitch. Shaded cells are printed and stay put.
- Each stitch is checked against the one answer as you work it. A wrong one is a dropped stitch: it is put right for you and it counts. Three dropped stitches and the swatch is finished for you.
One puzzle a day, the same for everyone. No hints and no second goes: your result stands until tomorrow's puzzle.

About Purlwise
Purlwise is a binary puzzle (the kind also called Binairo or Takuzu) dressed as a knitting chart: two stitches, knit and purl, and three short rules. Charts grow through the week, from 8 by 8 on Monday to 14 by 14 at the weekend.
Every chart has exactly one answer and can be solved by reasoning alone. Knits and purls differ in shape and outline, never by colour alone.
